Jewelry

This necklace, constructed of seed beads, lentil beads, and fire-polished beads, was completed at the Texas Bead Retreat.

The necklace below was created with Czech pressed glass beads and other, larger glass beads to add interest and variety. I attempted to achieve some assymetry, especially with the rose dangling slightly off-center. This type of work is done with a needle and thread; it’s quite time-consuming. There’s a sense of creating a painting with the beads and all I’ve learned about color through my years of painting serves me well when creating my jewelry.

Here’s the necklace I created with the polymer clay beads I made a couple of weeeks ago. There are 44 hand-made beads in the necklace. It’s amazingly lightweight!

Below is my latest creation of wearable art, this necklace. It is made of various shapes of Czech glass and seed beads. The basic color is gray with a lot of yellow, accented with touches of greens and pinks.
